Four killed in China mine accident


Beijing, Jan 19 (IANS): At least four people were killed Sunday and two others injured in a phosphate mine accident in China's Hubei province, officials said.

The accident occurred in the morning, when a locomotive carrying workers derailed at Yulinxi phosphate mine in Yuan'an county, according to the county officials.

The injured were sent to hospital immediately for treatment, Xinhua reported.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
