Won't disrupt Republic Day parade: AAP

New Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS): The AAP, whose Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is staging a street protest, Tuesday said it has no intention of disrupting the official Republic Day celebrations.

Kejriwal, his ministers and a large number of Aam Aadmi Party supporters are massed near the Rail Bhavan, not far from the Rajpath boulevard where the annual Republic Day parade takes place.

AAP spokesman Ashutosh told the media: "We give an assurance that we will not cause any disruption to the Republic Day parade. We are not here for that."

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia earlier said that the AAP protest will continue independent of the Jan 26 Republic Day parade.
