Rainy day ahead in the capital


New Delhi, Jan 22 (IANS): Delhiites woke up to a cold Wednesday morning with light rain. The minimum temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average. Met Office has forecast a rainy day ahead.

"The skies will remain overcast and parts of the city will witness light rain," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 16 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 100 percent.

The traffic was slow in some parts of the capital, but no major complaints were recorded.

The maximum and minimum temperature recorded Tuesday was 14.7 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively.
