Sikh personal law demanded


Amritsar, Jan 24 (IANS): Radical Sikh group Dal Khalsa Friday sought a personal law for the Sikh community saying that this would give it a distinct identity.

Activists of the organization Friday staged a sit-in here seeking a Sikh Personal Law as well as to press for other demands. Holding placards and banners, the protestors distributed leaflets to people.

Addressing the protestors, Dal Khalsa head H.S. Dhami said that everyone should understand that Sikhs were distinct people and they were not sword arm of any other religion or community.
