Senior citizen found dead in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS): A 65-year-old security guard was found dead in mysterious circumstances here Tuesday morning, police said.

Prakash Chand's body was discovered around 7 a.m. in Burari area of North Delhi. "Prima facie it seems that Chand was killed because there were several injury marks on his body. His face was also clubbed with a blunt object," said a police officer.

The victim's son Ajit told IANS: "My father was working with King Security agency as a guard. After 15 days, he went for night duty around 8.30 p.m. Monday. We came to know about his death when one of my relatives identified his body."

Ajit said that his father had no personal enmity with anyone but his office was calling him to join duty as he had been absenting himself for 15 days.

The police officer said that they have registered a case of murder.

"We are investigating the case from all possible angles and the victim's relatives, family members and office colleagues are being interrogated," said the officer.
