Disillusioned AAP founder member quits party

New Delhi, Feb 2 (IANS): Expressing disillusion with the Aam Aadmi Party's functioning of late, founder member Madhu Bhaduri has dissociated herself from the political outfit.

"I have removed myself from the party. The party does not treat women as human beings," Bhaduri, a former ambassador to Portugal, told IANS.

She was indirectly referring to the midnight incident in south Delhi in which Law Minister Somnath Bharti, along with party workers, had illegally raided a house where African women lived and accused them of being involved in a prostitution racket.

"My outlook is no longer same as the party's outlook. This is not the same party which was founded a year ago. There is no (question of my) resignation as I held no post," added Bhaduri.

Like Kiran Bedi, Bhaduri too had great expectation from AAP to become rich overnight like politicians in other corrupt parties. When they realized AAP is non-corrupt, with flimsy reasons they distanced themselves from AAP. What an excuse Ms. Bhaduri to leave the Party. She doesn't agree with the raid on the place where African women were living ! Does she know why the raid was done ? Does she mean the foreigners should not be disturbed even when they are involved in prostitution and drug peddling ? Yes, it is wrong to raid without a warrant. If so, what was Delhi police doing all these years when neighbors lodged complains on these foreigners ? It is evident that the Police dept. was part of these illegal activities.

What AAp doing is right. if we give more rights to women that will be not good for country. In this world, After women started to lead the political party corruption started more.

woman don't have enough strength to lead the nation or party or organisation.
Present days Women are just attraction to a party.
Particular nation given particular cementation to the people, likewise women having some rules to be followed.

Why Mr. Somnath visited at night to that place was clearly mentioned in Mr. Kejriwal interview with CNN IBN.

before women were living respectfully in our society, Now they started all these and they are treating very badly.

No doubt AAP is party with new vision and committed to give a clean governance to the people of India! These types of setbacks are very much expected unless the members of the party remains united and face the challenges posed by the external forces! One thing is very clear, politics is meant only for dirty corrupts and difficult for the clean minded people to survive in it!

There are many people who joined AAP dreaming of opportunities. They feel now nothing is benefiting them. The journey starts now and AAP will never rest until it's intentions are fulfilled, and this will never end. People whoever thinking of short term or long term gain better they quit the party. Hope you all know how Binny betrayed and played drama, what happened to him?? This will never impact AAP.

AAP is a party where the high command is Kejriwal and his stooges Bharti and Yadav... If any sane voice raises any question they are heckled and abused...
What can we expect from a party whose head patronizes khaps and says they are needed... after SC has ruled they are illegal.....
Is this the party which talk about ideals and cleanliness in politics...?
I expect aap supporters to start abusing madhu bhaduri now , I expect to hear words like she is XYZ agent etc.. but no need to introspect yourself.

I am surprised at Disillusioned AAP founder says that women are not treated equally. AAP is the only party that has 3 elected women members in 70 assembly seats. Neither Congress and BJP have any women in the 70 assembly seats. She is a disappointment for AAP and it was right that she left. It will be better for her if she joins BJP and Congress and then she will realize how they credit women in those parties. AAP looks into broader outlook and not into a single woman's outlook.

Eric, you should look at the age of the lady who complained at AAP..She is nearly 65..she is ex-diplomat who joined AAP to serve people without any ambition..she didnt hold any post, so the question of quitting..Lately AAP has changed, derailed from its policies..now what ever their statement comes, it directly targeted towards voter, they are playing vote bank politics evoking sikh, muslim sentiments..they said they are not here for politics..what happening inside AAP is pure politics..now there is no difference between other political party & AAP..they pressure to remove policemen, they will not respect constitutional body, they will try to remove women commission chief for summoning its minister..these acts are previously done by Lalu,Mulayam,Mayavati, BJP,Congress etc,.then what is the difference..sad part is crusade against corruption already lost steam..
