Three school students killed in Syria attack

Damascua, Feb 3 (IANS): Three school children were killed Monday when mortar shells landed at a school in central Syria.

The mortars, launched by armed rebels, hit the school at Rabia town in Hama province, Xinhua reported citing the official SANA news agency.

Several schools in Syria have been attacked by mortars and bombs, causing the deaths of many students.

The last attack that killed students took place last November when five pupils were killed by a mortar shell that struck their mini bus in Syria's capital Damascus.

Many Syrians have stopped sending their children to schools, especially in areas suffering daily mortar attacks from rebels near Damascus.
