Delhi govt seeks action against Sheila Dikshit

New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI) Opening a new front against outside supporter Congress, AAP government today recommended to President Pranab Mukherjee to issue an advisory to former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit based on a Lokayukta order for alleged wrongdoings in grant of provisional regularisation certificates to unauthorised colonies.

"We endorsed the Lokayukta order. We have recommended that guilty should be punished as per the Lokayukta recommendation," PWD Minister Manish Sisodia said.

In an order in November last year, the then Delhi Lokayukta Justice Manmohan Sarin had recommended to the President to issue an advisory to Dikshit holding her responsible for granting provisional regularisation certificates to 1,200 unauthorised colonies just before the assembly polls in 2008 with an aim to get political mileage.

The Delhi government's recommendation in the case came after President's office sought its comments on the matter.

Justice Sarin had issued the order on a complaint filed by Delhi BJP leader Harsh Vardhan who alleged that Dikshit had issued the provisional regularisation certificates with an intention to lure voters.

In 2012, a committee, headed by the then divisional commissioner Vijay Dev, had found serious wrongdoings in the process of issuance of provisional regularisation certificates (PRCs) and recommended criminal proceedings against those involved in the irregularities.

Ahead of the assembly polls in 2008, the Delhi government had issued the PRCs to unauthorised colonies which constitute important vote bank.

The Lokayukta had observed that the conditions of the Supreme Court order have not been complied with while issuing the provisional certificates prior to the election.

Delhi government had issued provisional regularisation certificates to over 1,218 unauthorised colonies before the 2008 assembly polls.

These unauthorised colonies in which around 40 lakh people reside do not have basic amenities.

The problem here is nobody want the person who is straightforward. This is the typical Indian mentality. Corrupt politicians from all political parties are worried now as Kejriwal and his team are going to go deep into the corruption. Also, I heard that there will be a state level list of corrupt is going to be released soon. So, corrupt politicians of Congress and BJP are forced to stop Kerjriwal and our media also biased. They too support the corrupt just for their survival. Coming back to Binny, the expelled MLA, he realized that he can't make money being in AAP and hence created havoc. But Kejriwal is not power hungry. He is ready to quit at anytime. He is not the person who wants to stick to his chair.

A military salute to you from Japan Mr. Surendra Poojari. Your comments are very much true. Now, both BJP and Congress, though ruling and opposition party for the public, will join together to pull down Kajeriwal Party at any cost. Now they are trembling with fear of AAP. Mr. Kajeriwal certainly is not power hungry like other dirty, stinking politicians. If he is power hungry, he would have ruled Delhi is sitting comfortably in his A.C. Office. Unfortunately, we Indians put religion first & then think of our nation. That is the reason why we blindly support any party which pretends to be protecting a religion. In reality they fool innocent people who trust their false promises and assurances. India needs a selfless, fearless & a straight forward leader like Mr. Kajeriwal. Jai ho AAP.

AAP is saying others are destabilizing its Govt.

AAP itself is trying to destabilize its govt. and blame others to earn the sympathy of a victim.
Fact is that, it is not governing, it doesn't know governance, only into witch hunting.
AAP is moving in the path of loosing our HOPE.

Providing basic amenities to the people living in unauthorized colonies should have been the issue instead of dragging each others legs.

So Juliana, we just need to watch the thamasha? Politicians have taken the advantage and are going to take advantage of all schemes by corrupt means. At least Kejriwal and his team are trying to put an end to this. So we need to appreciate Kejriwal and team for their concerns about common man. We are fed up of corruption. The corruption level in India is so high and this is delaying or making it impossible for India to become super power. We need more people like Kejriwal for better India.
