Tinkle character titles launched in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 8 (IANS): A collection of the best stories of the characters of iconic comic Tinkle were launched at the ongoing Comic Con India here.

The Tinkle Character Collection with four titles was launched Feb 7 at Thyagaraj Stadium and features the best stories of its popular characters - Suppandi, Shikari Shambhu, Tantri the Mantri and Butterfingers.

"Readers have long been demanding to know more about these characters and for longer stories on them. Through each of these books, the reader can explore these well loved characters better and discover more about their worlds," said Manas Mohan, COO, ACK Media, an entertainment and education company that brings out the comic.

"Having a collection on these favourite characters is our way of satisfying our fans," he added.

The comic is priced at Rs. 125.

According to the editor of Tinkle, it took six months to compile the best of each character from its vast stories pool.

"Over 30 years, we have built a treasure trove of hundreds of stories, so it was no wonder that it took us more than six months to put together this collection," said Rajani Thindiath, Tinkle editor.

"Along with classic stories, each character collection includes special trivia and fun segments, giving you a unique insight into a character you have always loved," she added.
