Kiran Reddy may resign, launch new party

Hyderabad, Feb 17 (PTI) :  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is contemplating to resign from his post against the state’s division and launching a new political party, two state ministers said here on Sunday.

“The whole country says the (Telangana) bill for division is undemocratic. Still, they say that we will go ahead and make the bill win by hook or crook, pass even by voice vote. In this situation, there is a need for a new party. Kiran Kumar Reddy would definitely form a new party and try to keep the state united” state Law Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy told reporters.

“We actually decided that we should quit on (February) 16th. But, main opposition BJP says that the bill has not been tabled. Chief minister is not quitting today (on Sunday) to strengthen that. When it is officially announced that the bill has been tabled in Parliament, then he will quit and all of us would quit,” he said after a consultative meeting held by the chief minister in Hyderabad.

I won't be surprised if he splits & then after the elections merge with Congress. Congress has lost popularity in AP. So the strategy is Kiran Kumar Reddy will form a proxy party. Get sympathy votes by fooling people. After election get back to the same old flock. Another method of divide & rule plan.

Good going..seeds of poison bearing fruits..people who are taunting BJP for giving 2-3 CMs in 5 year tenure should also know that after Rajshekar Reddy Andhra had 2 CMs..even Uttarakhand 2 CMs within 6 months..Congress political game to garner votes took toll of brotherhood in Andhra..already forming Govt with nearly 20 allies..may be after 10 years Congress may not get seats as much as regional parties..
