Andhra CM Kiran Reddy resigns, quits Congress

Hyderabad, Feb 19 (IANS): The Congress suffered a major jolt Wednesday when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Reddy resigned and also dumped the Congress to protest against the state's break up.

After announcing his decision to the media, Kiran Reddy drove to the Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan.

He urged the governor to make alternate arrangements at the earliest as he would not like to continue as caretaker chief minister.

"I am resigning from the post of the chief minister, as MLA (legislator) and also from the Congress party," he told reporters in the company of his cabinet colleagues and legislators.

He accused the Congress of doing grave njustice to the Telugu speaking people by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.

He lashed out at the Congress for violating all constitutional provisions and for pushing through the bill in parliament in an "undemocratic" manner.

Kiran Reddy blamed all political parties for the division.

Kiran Reddy, however, thanked the Congress for making him the chief minister, a post he held for over three years. He said his family served the Congress since 1962 and fought 12 elections.

"My future is not important," he said when asked if he would be floating a new political party.

Andhra resigned C.M. Kirankumar Reddy didn't play his role as CM effectively during the confusion of state division.Good decision to resign when the decision goes against his expectation. But the Telangana demand was long pending and it is quite natural to the central government act on it.Hope everything will sail smoothly. All the best.Thanq.

Resignation of Kiran Reddy does not make any difference to Congress as he did not have much base among voters either of Seemandra or Telengana.

BJP and its supporters are seeing only a hole in the whole.

In central Sushma swaraj nautanki dance at MK Gandhi Samadhi in Rajghat,
Congress people are going and coming back.

Now their entry back will be severe unlike before.

IS KIRAN REDDY CONTESTING FOR PRIME MINISTER POST TO DEBATE WITH HIM?!

Modi made a big hole in Gujarat can’t you see.

That's where we were played. It's not at all costing congress or Stupid BJP. It's gonna cost you and me. Do you think they pay the infrastructure development fund from their own pocket?? It will be levied in the form of some other tax on our heads only. For any stupid acts of these governments be it Congress or BJP ultimate sufferers would be people of India not them as they have deposited billions of wealth in foreign banks in their names.

STALE FOOD CAN NOT BE COOKED. No one in this world can cook stale food.

Food becomes stale if it is not preserved. Don't comment blindly just for the sake of comment. Think before you ink.

Lot of unforeseen changes have taken place in previous United Andhra Pradesh, bastion of Congress during late YSR Reddy's regime.
Telangana People wanted to separate, Rest of Andhra wanted to remain together. Two extreme views. In this situation, Kiran Reddy's stand understandable, surely he can not lead people fuming against the Congress decision.
He might align with YSR Congress.

Unfortunately, both East India company from PORTUGUESE and Indian national congress resorted into looting from people/Country.
