Injured sweet shop worker dies during treatment


New Delhi, Feb 19 (IANS): A sweet shop worker, who was shot by a private security guard, succumbed to his injuries during treatment in a government hospital Wednesday, police said.

He was shot at by Neeraj, 26, a security guard with a cash van of a bank following delay in delivering a dish.

Satendra Singh, 35, died during treatment in Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital at noon Wednesday.

Police said the incident occurred in the Gol Market area of central Delhi Tuesday night.

Police said a scuffle took place between Neeraj and Satendra before the firing. Neeraj was arrested from the spot and the weapon seized.
