Beijing, Feb 25 (IANS): A hard-boiled egg was removed from a woman’s vagina after her husband's sex game went sour, a media report said.

In a bid to try something different during sex play, the woman’s husband said he inserted the peeled egg into his wife’s vagina, the Shanghai Daily reported citing the Shanghai No. 411 People's Liberation Army Hospital officials Tuesday.

But soon after, the woman complained of an unusual sensation in her lower abdomen.

The couple, both in their 20s, first tried to remove the egg using chopsticks and a spoon but when they failed, the woman tried to free it by jumping up and down.

After all efforts proved futile, the couple rushed to the hospital. Doctors successfully removed the egg Feb 23.

Guo Xinxin, a doctor in the hospital’s gynaecology department, said the couple took a big risk.

“Once inside the vagina, which contains a complicated mix of bacteria, the egg will rot,” Guo was quoted as saying.

“Couples must be careful, but if they do have such a problem, they should go to hospital immediately,” he said.
