Don't appreciate such language: Rahul on 'impotent' remark

New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said here Thursday that he does not "appreciate" External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid's "impotent" remark on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Khurshid at a rally Feb 25 in his Farrukhabad constituency in Uttar Pradesh, called Modi "impotent" in failing to protect the people during the 2002 Gujarat riots.

"I do not appreciate this kind of language," Gandhi told the media here.

Other Congress leaders also said that the party does not support the use of such language.

"Congress party does not support the use of such language. Congress leaders should not use such language as this is the language of BJP. What Rahul Gandhi said is right," said Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari said: "Congress will only use the language that is appreciated by the people."

    I do not find any mistake in Salman Khurshid statement. People died and brutally killed in the 2002 riots and MODI kept quiet as a "IMPOTENT CM" of Gujrat. The more irritating part is that he does not regret the incident and nor apologetic.

    People speak about 1984 Sikh riots and they held responsible the 2nd generation of Neharu/Gandhi family who are not involved during those days. And the Congress family still comforts them and regret the incident.

    The opposition BJP/RSS is taking all advantage of sober nature of congress leaders and partymen. The criminals, murderers and buctures should not take Congress vice president's statement for granted.

    Feku's claim of Gujarat a financially developed state exposed: DO you know that Gujarat carries a debt of Rs. 1.53 lakh crore. Per head - it comes to around Rs. 25,489. Which means every person born in Gujarat will be born with a debt.

    I think this fellow Rahul is going to be a very good Indian Leader in the future. The only drawback was that he refused to become a cabinet minister. He should have taken Home Ministry and should have done a very very good service. Now, after 2 years he noticed that the government was rated Need Improvement and he hesitated to participate in the government formation and now the time is really out, REALLY??? How long its out.
