Delhi to see BJP-AAP tussle, NDA ahead in Maharashtra: survey

New Delhi, Mar 4 (IANS): The BJP and AAP were neck-to-neck in Delhi for the Lok Sabha elections and the NDA would perform better than UPA in Maharashtra, said an election survey released Monday.

The CNN-IBN CSDS February election tracker said that the alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena and Republican Party of India-Athavale may secure between 23 and 29 seats in Maharashtra if elections were held now, while the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party alliance may secure between 16 and 22 seats.

It said that the Congress-NCP alliance may get 36 percent vote share in Maharashtra and the BJP-SS-RPI alliance may get 42 percent votes.

The Aam Aadmi Party is expected to get five percent votes while the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena may get four percent votes, it said.

"Thirty one percent respondents in Maharashtra prefer (BJP's Narendra) Modi as prime minister (in January tracker, the figure was 40 percent). 16 percent of respondents prefer Rahul Gandhi as PM (up by two percent since January tracker)," a release said.

It said that Aam Aadmi Party's popularity in Delhi has taken slight dip since January but remains strong.

The release said that the AAP may get between two and four seats in Delhi if Lok Sabha elections were held now.

"The tracker projects BJP may get between two and four seats while Congress may end up with one seat in Delhi if Lok Sabha polls were held today," the release said.

It said there was seven percent drop for AAP in Delhi since January and it may secure 35 percent votes if polls were held now.

The survey said BJP's vote share in Delhi since January has risen by six percent and the party may secure 35 percent votes.

The survey projected Congress vote share to be 22 percent. It said there was four percent drop in satisfaction levels with the the AAP government in Delhi since January and 70 percent of respondents were satisfied. The AAP government had resigned last month.

"Forty four percent Delhi respondents say Kejriwal's decision to resign over Jan Lokpal bill was wrong. Forty seven Delhi respondents say corruption had reduced when AAP government was in power in Delhi," it said.

The survey said that 26 percent of respondents want Kejriwal to be prime minister in February compared to 35 percent in January.

    Surveys are disgusting.

In my view the survey prediction is as good as the one Swami Shobhan Sarkar, the seer who dreamt about 1,000 tonnes of gold buried underneath the palace in one of the UP villages. You all know what was the outcome of his dream.

Surveys had predicted 6 for AAP and 1 for BJP last dec. Indeed, AAP's stocks have taken a dive!

Delhi folks aren't happy with AAP.
Last month, AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya was slapped for not fulfilling promises. Some days ago, another MLA Rajesh Garg was held hostage for the same reason. Now, autowallahs have turned their back on AAP.

Interestingly, this survey has shown the popularity of Modi has come down by 10% in just one month from jan to feb 2014.This is shocking to BJP fans. The trend is expected to continue in the coming days as his big mouth is a big curse to BJP. In 2004 and 2009 BJP lost because of a big mouth and in 2014 also the same fate because of a big mouth.

AAP popularity will take a beating in coming days..they have lost a chance to serve people due to Kejrival's MP ambitions..He was behind water & electricity/Sheela for state election but didnt do anything practically..all he did was hit & run case..what ever subsidy, discount, rules he brought was challenged in court & court stayed..now for Parliament elections he is behind Gas/Ambani, making people fool around..AAP lack administrative skills..do Kejriwal really wants do anything beyond lashing out at people. Does he have a vision for employment, skill development, education, health? never told anything about this..
