Srinagar city and other major towns in hinterland received fresh snowfall Sunday night as reports of heavy snowfall came in from north Kashmir's Sonamarg, Gulmarg hill stations and other higher reaches.

There has been heavy snowfall on the Zojila Pass that connects the Valley with Ladakh region of the state.

The pass remains closed for more than five months each year because of heavy snowfall.
