South African woman arrested at Mumbai airport

Mumbai, March 13 (PTI): A South African national was tonight apprehended by Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Mumbai Customs for attempting to smuggle out contraband worth Rs 4.94 crore.

"We have arrested a lady for attempting to smuggle out 4.9 kilograms of amphetamine, a narcotic drug," a customs source said.

According to sources the woman was flying to Livingstone via Nairobi and was arrested for concealing contraband in her suitcase.
