Udupi, Jun 5: The KSRTC mini buses which were plying between the city and Mangalore have now once again vanished from the road from June 1.  However, what is surprising is that this time no reasons have been given for cancellation of daily trips.

The KSRTC mini bus service between the city and Mangalore had started about a year and half ago.  Owing to low ticket price, they had received a good response from the public too.  The public had also demanded to extend their service upto State Bank since they were plying only upto KSRTC bus stand at Lalbagh.

However, the private bus lobby which is stronger than anything else had prevailed in canceling this bus service for sometime.  But owing to public demand the service was started once again after few days.

But the number of buses as well as trips was reduced thereafter.  But around 4 buses were plying on the road in the past few months.  However, all these buses have been cancelled from June 1 without any prior notice which has caused innumerable passenger who used to ply by these buses.
