Guerrilla caught after sneaking into Kashmir

Jammu, March 16 (IANS): A separatist guerrilla has been arrested after he sneaked into Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan, the military said Sunday.

Muhammad Ashfaq was caught from the border village of Digwar in Poonch district Saturday night after crossing the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

An AK-47 rifle, two magazines, 59 rounds of ammunition and an improvised explosive device have been recovered from him, a military spokesman said.

Ashfaq had reportedly gone to Pakistan for obtaining weapons training in 2011 and returned now to join the terrorist ranks, said the spokesman.
