Rainy Tuesday in Delhi


New Delhi, March 18 (IANS): Delhiites woke up to a rainy Tuesday morning and the Met Office forecast brief spells of rain in the forenoon.

"The sky will remain partly cloudy. Rain or thundershower could occur in some areas till noon," said an India Meteorological Department official.

The day's minimum temperature settled at 19.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 82 percent.

The city recorded 0.2 mm of rainfall since Monday.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 32 degrees Celsius.

Monday's maximum temperature was 34.4 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average, while the minimum was 16 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
