Two killed in bicycle bomb blast in Afghanistan


Kabul, March 19 (IANS): Two people were killed and 10 others injured when a bicycle bomb exploded in the Afghan city of Ghazni Wednesday, an official said.

"The terrorists planted the explosive device on a bicycle and the device exploded in a crowded area of Ghazni city, the capital of Ghazni province, 125 km south of Kabul, killing a civilian and a military man, and injuring ten others," Assadullah Safi, a deputy to the provincial police chief, told Xinhua.

A blast in the northwestern Afghan city of Maimana city Tuesday killed 17 people and injured 48 others.
