Dhaka, Mar 19: Hello and a warm welcome for the second match of the day. Ireland will start as clear favourites. They beat Zimbabwe in a last ball thriller in their opening encounter and a win here will put them in a great position to go through. UAE, on the other hand, were beaten comfortably in their first game and will need to put in a big effort to chalk up a victory. The pitch has been on the slower side but with the dew coming in, conditions could get trickier.
Ireland have won the toss and have opted to field
Pitch report: 'There was a decent bit of bounce in the opening game. The wicket is going to stay true. Dew might come into play. It seems like a difficult ground to defend totals', reckons Jonty Rhodes.
Khurram Khan: 'It's the short version of the game, you cannot write anybody off. We have been working hard, especially on our fielding. Hopefully, it will be a different performance today. Partnerships make a difference even in the short version of the game. The ball was keeping low. If we put up 140, it will be a good total here. We have two changes. Ahmed Raza and Asadullah come in'.
William Poterfield: 'We ae going to have a bowl first. We are confident after the win against Zimbabwe. It is a fresh start today. We are ready to go. The ball will come on nicely under lights. We will have to guard against complacency. We have one change with Tim Murtagh coming in for McBrine'.
