London, March 26 (IANS): An Indian-origin man has been charged with the murder of a 29-year-old woman at a hotel in Wolverhampton in the British West Midlands.
Gurminder Singh, 29, has been accused of murdering Amandeep Kaur Hothi, also aged 29, whose body was discovered at the Britannia Hotel in the city centre almost three weeks ago, the Birmingham Mail reported Wednesday.
The unemployed man from Forest Gate in east London was earlier arrested on suspicion but was admitted to hospital after being found injured near the scene.
The post-mortem report revealed that Hothi died as a result of multiple knife wounds.
Singh was scheduled to appear before Wolverhampton magistrates Wednesday.
