Manipuri couple beaten up by landlord in Delhi


New Delhi, March 26 (IANS): A Manipuri couple in the mid-20s were beaten up by their landlord and his associates in Delhi, police said Wednesday.

The couple were at their home in south Delhi's Munirka area when they got into an altercation with the landlord late Tuesday over the key to the house's main gate.

Police said the couple were beaten up by the landlord and his family members.

The couple received injuries in various parts of their bodies. They were taken to a hospital and discharged after treatment.

Police rounded up seven people, including the landlord, and booked them.
