Beijing, March 27 (IANS): A 34-year-old man knifed six people to death Thursday at a village in Beijing district, police said.
The suspect, whose surname is Zhao, allegedly attacked an unknown number of people with a knife at Wanghua village of the Chinese capital following a family property dispute, Xinhua reported citing the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.
Police received a call at 12.48 p.m. and arrested the attacker. The injured people were taken to hospital.
The statement said Zhao had a history of mental illness.
Police are investigating the incident.
