NDA to be largest alliance, but short of majority

NEW DELHI, March 30 (DHNS) : A latest opinion poll on Saturday projected that the NDA will emerge as the largest alliance pocketing 233 seats, with lead partner BJP alone getting a record 209, but it will be still short of the magic figure of 272 to form the government at the Centre.

As per the ABP News-Nielsen opinion poll, BJP leader Narendra Modi’s popularity has declined a bit but he remains the clear choice of people for the position of prime minister.
He got 54 per cent in the fresh survey conducted this month, which is three per cent less he had netted in February this year, said a release issued by ABP news channel.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s popularity among people remains constant for he has been voted as the second choice for prime minister with 18 per cent while AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal bagged only three per cent.

The ABP News-Nielsen survey predicts that the UPA will get 119 seats as compared to 92 seats in opinion poll conducted in February 2014. Out of this, the Congress was likely to get 91 seats and  AAP is expected to get around four seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha.

The BJP is expected to do well in North, East and western part of the country except for the South where the Congress will have an upper edge. The poll findings suggest that the BJP may get 81 seats in the North while the Congress’ share will shrink to 21. The BSP would get 17 and Samajwadi Party around 12 seats.

Similarly in the East, the BJP was likely to get around 36 seats, West Bengal ruling party Trinamool Congress would bag around 28 seats while Odisha ruling party BJD was likely to get 17 seats with the Congress expected to get around 19 seats.

The Congress is to lead with 31 seats with AIADMK likely to get 21 seats in South India.

Like me, all astrologers are busy predicting next PM,even roadside astrologers are not spared. All of them have horoscope of each one of the politicians. i can predict fractured mandate like bone without calcium in it. I tossed the main party letters: AAP, BJP and CP, but all sandwiched together and then I confused which party I should vote. I added AAAP TO AAP to make the letters equal, but still it remained same. Finally, I concluded that all parties have same agenda, but different expressions.Better vote for "NONE" party candidate ! with none symbol with DON as PM.After the election, we may have many prime ministers in waiting....Rahul, Modi,Advani,Amar Lallu,Akbar Paswan, Yadav, Jadav, Antony, Subbu, Sushma,Jaya, Mamata, Uma, Karandige, Hema,Rabri......

When most of the Opinion Poll said that 230 seats for BJP means, you add another 20 to their kitty, because almost all Media Channels are biased when it comes to BJP by watching recently held Rajasthan & MP elections. Now the balance is only 20 seats for majority, I am sure “One Anna” or “One Amma” can make up their mind to join BJP without any condition to keep out the most corrupt CONGiss and their Alliance Parties

BJP is playing all the dirty tricks to get the majority in the opinion poll. Opinion survey has included 60 seats in Uttar Pradesh, which is next to impossible. Mulayam singh and mayawati are not playing gili danda, so that BJP would get 60 seats. Ultimately BJP will end up with 25-30 seats in UP and NDA around 180-190 seats all over India. A party which is ruling merely 4-5 states is impossible to get the majority or reach next to the majority. All the trends looks like India is going to have a hung parliament. India will have a third front government supported by a congress outside support.

BJP is not Modi Janata Party (MJP) but it should be called as BMP (Bharatiya Modi Party). Because that party revolves around just only one person only. Now all those stalwarts who built BJP have become irrelevant, and even their advertisement on TV says - Ab ki baar Modi Sarkaar, and not Ab-ki-baar-BJP-Sarkar, which means Modi is taller than the Party itself. Few days back Rajnath Singh tweeted stating that Ab-ki-baar-BJP-sarkar and immediately Modi supporters objected to it and Rajnath Singh immediately changed his Tweet as Ab-ki-baar-Modi-Sarkar. This is a clear proof that even Rajnath Singh can not have independent opinion in that party.

    # 1 - if BJP lacks majority, he will support them and make his "kursi" pakka.
    # 2 - if 3rd front will get enough seats to form govt. his father(Sr. Gowda) will lead the govt. and he will reserve his chair.

After reading this Survey Modi's bloated Ego must have got deflated.
The reduction of 3% of the Popularity of Modi is only due to AAP & Kejriwal.

    Dear Ismail Perinje
I guess you are giving a cover fire to hide your sinking congress Boat. You should be more worried about Congress 2 digit Washout that Modi's chances. BJP will take a political decisions based ont he circumstance at that given situation, no problem as far as they are on drivers seat.

I would like to thank in advance all the voters of India for making it possible that Congress is not the only option left for Indians.
People feel secured today because of a man who can change the image of India with the help of common man.
I would also like to thank Congress supporters who created awareness in the minds of people who were prepared to vote only for Congress. Now they are totally changed their mind and started praising the man whom they were hating the most. Thank you all.

Cunningly worded comments. It seems like it is written with the intention to have readers get confused about whether you are talking about Kejriwal or Modi.
So let me clarify this way. Congress supporters will mostly always vote for the Congress as the Congress' ideology suits them and moreover corruption is a repairable problem.
If you are talking about Kejriwal it is possible he may have some supporters crossover from the Congress as he promises to bring in a revolution as his non-corrupt, non-communal movement gathers momentum.
However, if you are talking about Modi you can be certain that not even in your dreams will a Congress supporter ever support a Modi led BJP especially a Congress supporter for whom 'inclusiveness' and a society free from religious discrimination and communal tension is paramount. Modi's talk about development is just that - only 'just talk'.
A communal mindset is extremely difficult or almost impossible to repair.
So Sir, you may kindly withdraw your message of thanks.

Seeing Modi's popularity shrinking this is a 'last ditch' effort by the section of the 'paid media' to prop up Modi's image and chances at the behest of their Corportate masters.
The desperation is showing with the failed inductions of Pramod Mutalik and Sabir Ali to the BJP.
It seems like the BJP will be forced to beg both Jayalalitha and Mamata for support and if either one does give the BJP support then the NDA will be shaky and we could have another LS election again within 12 to 18 months as both Jaya and Mamata are strong headed women who are very demanding. NDA will not be able to fulfil their demands and mind you Jaya has her eyes set on the PM's chair too.

But if Mamatha Banerji and Jayalalithaa refuse to support Modi because of Godhra blot on him, then Advni or Sushma Swaraj may become PM.

Difficult to say, as the Corporate bigwigs who are backing Modi may not be happy with Advani as PM as he is intent on bringing Indian Swiss account holders money back.
Sushmaji may seem to be the last option but this will not happen without a lot of chaotic scrambling within the BJP. Mouth-watering to see how things unfold. First of all, let us see how many seats the NDA actually get.
