Himachal Police officer killed in accident


Shimla, April 1 (IANS): A Himachal Police officer was killed in a road accident here Tuesday evening, an official said.

Superintendent of Police Chandrashekhar Pandit was killed on the spot when his vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down the hills on the outskirts of Shimla, police said.

At the time of accident, Pandit was at the wheel in his private vehicle.

Passers-by immediately took him to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Pandit was posted at the Police Training Centre in Daroh in Kangra district.
