One killed, three hurt in Cairo blasts


Cairo, April 2 (IANS): Two blasts occurred Wednesday outside Cairo University, one of Egypt's most prominent and oldest universities, leaving one person dead and three others injured, a media report said.

The explosions happened in the vicinity of the engineering faculty at Cairo University, Xinhua reported citing state-run Nile-TV, adding it was not immediately clear what caused the blasts.

A security source told Xinhua that crude bombs were used in the explosions.
