Indian national jailed for theft, molestation in Singapore


Singapore, April 3 (IANS): An Indian national in Singapore was jailed for six months Thursday on charges of molestation, theft and criminal trespass.

Palanisami Mohankumar, 27, pleaded guilty to stealing a mobile phone Sep 29, 2012, from a flat along Yishun Street 22, and touching the thigh of an 11-year-old girl through her flat's common corridor window in Little India here Aug 30 last year, the Straits Times reported.

Mohankumar, a construction worker, also admitted to committing criminal trespass at a unit in Bedok Reservoir Road Sep 17 last year.
