Two killed in Delhi fire


New Delhi, April 4 (IANS): At least two people were killed Friday in a fire that broke out in an old age home in Vasant Kunj area here. The fire was reported at 2.30 a.m.

"Ramesh, 60 and Poonam, 27 were found charred to death, police said.

The blaze started during an event at the old age home.

Police sources said 10 tents were also destroyed. It took nine fire vehicles to douse the fire by 5.30 a.m., a fire official said.

The authorities have not been able to ascertain the cause of the fire so far.
