Rama Navami celebrated at Vadala Rama Mandira

Mumbai, April 13: Rama Navami was celebrated in Ayodyanagara at Vadala here recently.

Devotions such as prayers, Rama Nama Sankeerthane, Abhishek and Ashtavadhana were held at Sri Samsthana Gokarna Parthagali Jeevothama Mutt’s Dwaraknath Bhavan on Vadala Katrak Road, continuously for the last ten days as preparation for the festival.  Special devotion and prayers were held as part of the celebration.

Businessmen Satish Rama Nayak, M V Kini, Vinayak Kulkarni and Krishnakumar Pai were present as guests and Sri Rama Mandira office bearers felicitated and congratulated them.  Shivasena president Uddav Thakre, his wife Rashmi Uddav Thakre and thousands of devotees offered their prayers and devotion to Sri Rama.

Priest Sudhama Anatha Bhat conducted several religious programmes. The festival was celebrated by Ratha Vastu Shanti Havana, Rama Janmotsava, Maha Mangalarathi, Samaradhane, Ratharohana, Brahma Ratha Samarpane, Ratha Shobhayatre and Brahma Rathotsava.  Hundreds of decorated women brought the idol of Sri Rama into the temple in procession with traditional devotion.

Samstana Gokarna Parthagali Jeevothama Mutt Mumbai committee president U D Kamath, honorary secretary Ullas Kamath, treasurer G S Bhat, secretary Ashok Nayak and other office bearers and members were present.
