Udupi, Jun 19: Remedia D’Souza of Belman has been elected as the president / managing trustee of Manasa Rehabilitation Centre for Mentally Challenged Children, Pamboor.
At the annual election of the trust held recently at Manasa here, Remedia was elected to the post.
Remedia was the president of the Udupi Zilla Panchayat and a trustee of Manasa Rehabilitation Centre since its inception in 1996 by the Catholic Sabha.
The other office bearers include: Augustine Gomes (Vice President), Ida Cornelio, Shankarpura (Secretary), Irwin D’Souza, Shirva (Treasurer), Denis D Silva, Manipal (Joint Secretary), Dr Gerald Pinto, Kallianpur (PRO).
Ignatius Monis from Belle was the election Officer.
Manasa Rehabilitation Centre for Mentally Challenged Children, Pamboor has also been imparting training for the children with speech and hearing impaired.
