Karthik Krish debuts as director, says he feels no pressure

Chennai, May 5 (IANS): Director Karthik G. Krish, former assistant of ace filmmaker S. Shankar, is making his directorial debut with upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Kappal". He says he's not under any pressure.

"I have to prove myself as a director and not as an assistant director that I used to be. Of course, I credit whatever I've learned so far to Shankar sir, but I don't feel pressurised," Karthik told IANS.

Krish had assisted Shankar in Tamil films "Enthiran" and "Sivaji".

"There are always expectations from people who invest time and money in your project. Being Shankar sir's assistant doesn't change it. I think it's part and parcel of every director's journey. I only wanted to give a good film and I think I have made one," he said.

The film, which has been produced by I Studios, features Vaibhav Reddy and newcomer Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles.
