Rain expected in Delhi


New Delhi, May 11 (IANS): It was a pleasant Sunday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The Met Office has forecast light rain in some areas.

"The sky will be partly cloudy. Light rain and thunderstorm could occur in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius.

The city recorded 0.4 mm of rainfall since Saturday, making the weather pleasant and providing relief from the heat.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 50 percent

Saturday's maximum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 38.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 23 degrees Celsius, two notches below the average.
