Maharashtra woman arrested for duping people of Rs 1 crore


Jaipur, May 13 (PTI): A 25-year-old woman hailing from Maharashtra was arrested for duping at least 15 people of Rs 1 crore on the pretext of doubling their money in two years through various investment schemes, in Karni Vihar locality here, the police said today.

Madhuri Patil was arrested yesterday during a raid at her house where she returned after being on the run since a case was registered against her, police said.

An FIR was filed against Madhuri and her three accomplices on a complaint by one Shankar Singh, who deposited Rs 11.5 lakh in January 2014, they said.

Police is searching for Patil's husband and two other accused in the case, DCP-West K C Vishnoi said.

The case under various sections of IPC including 420, for cheating people, was registered against her and three others, and initial estimates indicated that she had received about Rs 1 crore from at least 15 people, the DCP said.

    Woman is with 25years has really duped so many People.and those who invested Money with her without knowing anything about her and her Business.only they wanted to make quick Money.and some have given up to 11 lacs. Jesus, whether they get it back is not sure. who knows where they have transferred it.put her in and let her pay it back.?
