London, Jun 30: Mahesh Bhupathi suffered one of his worst defeats in Grand Slam career as he and partner Alexander Waske of Germany crashed out of the Wimbledon men's doubles in the first round here on Thursday.

Bhupathi and Waske, seeded 13th, went down 6-7 (2) 6-3 6-7 (7) to Frederic Niemeyer of Canada and Glenn Weiner of the US at the grass court Grand Slam.
