Mangalore, Jul 1: The inaugural function of the diamond jubilee celebration of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) will be held on Sunday July 2 at 2 pm at Milagres Jubilee Hall here.

The 59th general body meeting of ICYM and the 9th cup award presentation ceremony will also be held on the occasion.

The programme will be inaugurated by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore, will preside. Union minister Oscar Fernandes will be the chief guest.

Minister for fisheries and ports B Nagaraj Shetty and MLA Yogish Bhat are expected to attend the programme.

Milagres Church parish priest Fr Walter D'Mello, Al-Mazroui and Clevy Auto Services, Abu Dhabi proprietor Leo Rodrigues and district Congress committee vice-president Ivan D'Souza will be the guests at the general body meeting and award presentation ceremony.
