Egyptian police officer shot by gunmen


Cairo, May 17 (IANS): A police officer was shot dead in Egypt by unidentified gunmen Saturday morning, media reported.

Officer Yasser Abd El-Aziz was heading home in Sharqiya province after finishing his shift when the assailants shot him, Al Ahram reported.

A passer-by, riding a motorcycle, was also injured in the crossfire.
