 Udupi, July 2: Udupi Working Journalists Union decided on Saturday to observe a black badge protest in all the programmes attended by Medical Education Minister Dr Acharya for his supporting his son Dr Kiran Acharya who allegedly attacked some photo journalists at Kasturba Medical College (KMC), hospital at Manipal on Thursday last.

In an emergency meeting, Dinesh Kini, the president of the Union said that journalists would continue their protest against Dr Acharya till he sought an apology for his remarks.

He also said the union had already sent a letter to the State unit of Karnataka Union of Working Journalists Union (KUWJ) briefing about the incident.
