Army hands back two shepherds to Pakistan


Jammu, May 21 (IANS): The Indian Army Wednesday handed over two Pakistani nationals to the neighbouring country's army as a goodwill gesture, an official said.

"Two shepherds had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Keri sector of Jammu May 20. The Indian Army on humanitarian grounds and as a goodwill gesture today (Wednesday) returned the two individuals to Pakistan after ascertaining their identity," defence spokesman Col. Manish Mehta told IANS.
