BJP eyes states where it was not number one

New Delhi, May 21 (IANS): The BJP will focus on those states where it did not win many seats in the Lok Sabha elections, a party official said here Wednesday.

"BJP will focus on such states where it was not the number one party," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said when he was asked what would be the party's role after the NDA government is formed at the centre.

He added the Bharatiya Janata Party will work as a medium to communicate the plans and programmes of the National Democratic Alliance government to the common man, and also take the message from the grassroots level to the centre.

"We will also work to ensure BJP success in forthcoming assembly and panchayat elections," Javadekar said.
