Udupi, Jul 6: District Crime Investigation Bureau police have arrested two persons at Bailur near here and recovered stolen bicycles and utensils used for puja on Thursday July 5.

The police led by inspector Timmayya and directed by district SP arrested Harish Poojary (22) and Santhosh Poojary (25) alias Sharath alias Munna while they were loitering around suspiciously at Bailur on Thursday.

The police also recovered three Hercules bicycles which they had stolen Pernankila, Ajjarkad and near Hotel Tourist here.  The police also seized brass and copper utensils used for puja which they had stolen from a bhajan mandir at Kidiyoor.

The total worth of the seized valuables is estimated at Rs 10,000.  The arrested have been handed over to town police station for further investigation.
