Food poisoning sickens 30 in China school


Beijing, May 27 (IANS): Suspected food poisoning in a primary school in east China's Shandong province have sickened dozens of students, authorities said early Tuesday.

More than 30 students at Boda Primary School in Zhuangzhai township of Caoxian county developed symptoms of diarrhea after they had supper Monday night, Xinhua quoted local officials as saying.

The students are under treatment.

The school, a private boarding school, has some 1,800 students and teachers, according to its website.

Cause of the food poisoning is being investigated.
