Mangalore, Jul 9: 'Naivedyam', a restaurant run by a Delhi-based chain of restaurants owned by Shekhar Bangera of Karkala origin, is located on the first floor of the Mangalore International Hotel.

It has already made a name for a variety of delicacies from different states of India. So far it has held food festivals of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kashmir, Amritsar and  the like, offering traditional specialities of the respective regions.

By popular demand, "Monsoon Food Dhamaka", with emphasis on Rajasthani, Gujarati and Lucknowi specialities like thali, is being held from July 3 to 31.  Besides, popular crunchy-munchy eats, chat items and sweetmeats are available.

Naivedyam management says that the restaurant has laid stress on customer satisfaction with variety. Exquisite ambience and table setting, courteous service and soothing music in the background have won the hearts of diners. Many of them have recorded their appreciative comments in the visitors' book.

Naivedyam is different from the rest of the restaurants. Thirtytwo kinds of dosas, three different versions of south Indian thali and three north Indian meals have been tickling the diners' palates and they keep coming again and again. Soft chapati is a special attraction here.

Other mouth-watering delicacies are tandoor tikka, veg kabab, paneer tikka, mushroom tikka, mushroomed chopped palak, methi, malai mattar, chana pindi, dum aloo, bhindi do pyaza, razma ras misa etc. North India's Garhwali food can be savoured here any day. Natural health drinks like amla, madiphal, sariva and others also tasted here every day.

Further, Chinese delicacies like noodles and Manchurian are also regular items on the menu.
