Bangalore, Jul 10: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's problems are far from over.

Kumaraswamy who recently accused Bangalore-Mysore expressway builder, Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise, of trying to bribe him, is now facing allegations of accepting Rs 150 crore bribe from the mining company owners of Bellary districts.

A minor scuffle broke out in the state Assembly after JD(S) and BJP ministers were caught in a war of words over the allegations levelled on Kumaraswamy.

Kumaraswamy’s own coalition partner BJP MLC K Janardhana Reddy has levelled this charge against him.
However, Kumaraswamy has rubbished the charges as baseless and motivated.

Kumaraswamy is even planning to slap a criminal defamation case against Reddy. But Reddy is defiant and says he will prove his charges against the Chief Minister.

This issue has led to a serious rift between the ruling coalition JD(S) and BJP in the state.

Now, Opposition Congress and JD(S) rebel faction led by former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah are trying to use this issue against the government.

Congress leader D K Shivakumar has dropped a bombshell saying he would produce CDs in the Assembly to prove bribery charges against the Chief Minister.

“This matter has never come. Unfortunately, on Friday the Congress leaders didn't allow the council to function normally. Hence it was adjourned for two days. Now, we are meeting again,” Education Minister D H Shankarmurthy said.
