Puttur, Jul 11: A student who failed in her supplementary examinations ended her life by hanging herself from the roof of her house on Monday July 10 at Nekraje near Uppinangady here.
Vanitha (16), daughter of Narayana Poojary of Nekraje of Bajattur near Uppinangady was a student of Sarvodaya High School at Periadka. She had appeared for the SSLC exams for the academic year of 2005-06. However, she had failed in the public exams.
Later she had appeared for the re-examinations. The results of the supplementary exams were declared on Monday. But Vanitha had failed once again in the exams.
Disturbed by this she decided to end her life and hung herself with the help of her chudidar on Monday when no one was in the house.
Her father Narayana has now filed a complaint with the Uppinangady police in this regard.
