Udupi, Jul 12: Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore paid a pastoral visit to Our Lady of Fatima Church at Perampally near here on Sunday July 9.
On his arrival parish priest Fr James D'Souza extended a warm welcome to Bishop. Later Bishop was escorted to the church in a small procession with the famous Perampally brass band leading from the front.
Bishop offered Eucharistic celebration during which 80 persons were given the Sacrament of Confirmation. After the Mass a facilitation program was held during which Bishop was felicitated on completing 10 successful years of being the pastor of Mangalore diocese.
Bishop stayed overnight at Perampally. On Monday July 10 he visited the parishioners who are severely ill and offered Indulgence for them.
