Many of them ended the oath with 'Jai Maharashtra' or 'Jai Maharashtra, Jai Hind'.

With several members deviating from the written script, P A Sangma who was chairing the proceedings, reminded them to strictly stick to the script.

"Follow the script as per the Constitution of India. Do not go beyond what is written," said Sangma, a former Lok Sabha Speaker.

Anything beyond the written text provided to members will not form part of the proceedings, he said.
