Mangalore, Jul 13: A CBI enquiry has been demanded by Rajya Sabha member B Janardhana Poojary into the bribery issue involving Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
In a protest rally organized by the Congress in front of the DC’s office here on Wednesday, Jul 12, Poojary demanded that the CM should accept the allegations and resign from post.
Senior BJP leaders including National President of the party L K Advani have refrained from passing comments over the issue. “The father Deve Gowda is also protecting his son Kumaraswamy, he added.
The CM who claims to have run the government based on ethics and honesty, should have reacted to the allegations seriously, Poojary opined.
He further blamed the religious fanatics for disturbing communal harmony in the region.
The congressmen took a rally from light house hill to the DC’s office and submitted a memorandum to the DC.
