Udupi, Jul 13: K Ashwat Bharadwaj has been selected as the first state president of the newly formed Akhila Bharata Tulu Yuva Parishat.
The Parishat has been formed to strengthen Tulu community and to ensure recognition to Tulu language at the national level.
Hailing from Kabbinale of Udupi district, Bharadwaj is an active member of the society and has been involved in social, religious, cultural and literary activities.
A lecturer in Kota Viveka PU College, Ashwat was the president of the second students’ literary conference of Mangalore University in 1999.
